  • David Brower Center, 2150 Allston Way, Berkeley, CA 94704

Description

Designing a treatment of exposure and response prevention is relatively simple, but obtaining compliance is an art. For many sufferers, complying with treatment feels impossible.  Far too often professionals have focused on the ‘resistance' to exposure and response prevention and the client drop-out rate as reasons to try a different and less effective treatment.  Although, such resistance exists, far too often other factors impede treatment compliance.

In this workshop, the Dr. Grayson will discuss the above treatment issues and their solutions. Incorporating cognitive therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) techniques without compromising the treatment protocol will be integrated into all parts of the workshop.
